Be Mine, Valentine!

Valentine's this year was a lot of fun. Nikki hosted a V-day themed crafternoon with tons of cute little crafts and delicious food. It was nice to have some girl time.
I made these cute little pins for the boys.

Fancied up some basic brownies with some doilies and powdered sugar.

The valentine lunches were fun to make!

The boys woke up on Valentine's Day to a spread of cute little gifts. They loved it!

Kev made Belgian waffles for breakfast and they were divine. He made fun of me for taking a picture but then took his own. Can you tell which one is his?

Of course we watched Charlie Brown!

Shortly after we went to bed, the power went out. It's never gone out the entire time we've lived here. And it stayed out. The boys were all freaking out in their rooms because it was pitch black. Kev grabbed a flashlight and brought them all into me. We scrounged up some candles, snuggled everyone up in our bed, and played a movie that was downloaded on my iPad. It was a pretty cold night, well below zero, so all the extra body heat was a plus! After almost four hours, the power--and heat--finally came back on!

Kevin's birthday is February 16 so we wrapped up our weekend with the traditional birthday dinner at Applebee's.
